A rare surviving example of a Welsh Baptist Chapel, built in 1869-70 to the design of R A Love. The building is of great technical interest as the best documented of a group of true cavity walled buildings in Stawell, apparently the first in Victoria, all of similar date and at least one also by Love. The classical facade has a projecting centrepiece capped by a bracketted pediment carrying acroteria or statuary bases in a Roman or perhaps Vanbrughian manner. The corners are
